14 Day Ride of Israel
Day 1 Pick up in Tel Aviv. We will fit bikes, talk over the program and then head for a short ride along the beachfront to the next town of Herzliya, where we will meet for lunch. From here we head north to Caesarea, where we spend the night.

Day 2 Carmel-Caesarea
We will head out of the hotel and loop via Mt Carmel to return to Caesarea. Here we will enjoy lunch on the ancient port and then continue for a guided tour of the Roman ruins. We will then drive north, passing Haifa to the town of Naharia where we will spend the night.

Day 3-Western Galilee
Today we will set out on one of the more challenging climbs of the week. We will leave Naharia and Mediterranean coast and head to the Galilee. The road will take past villages and great views on our way to Safed, a holy city to the Jews. We will head to our hotel in the old part of the city, amidst stone-built alleyways

Day 4- To the Golan Heights
Today we will offer a pre breakfast optional loop ride, and also a short walking tour of the town after breakfast. We will then head by bike along the ridge and then down to the Hula Valley. Our destination at the end of the day will be the Golan Heights where we will be staying on a Kibbutz in the vast volcanic plateau. We will have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5- Climb Mt Hermon
We will head out of Merom Golan and head to Mt Hermon, the Highest peak in Israel (6850’ above sea level). From the top here, we will head down to the area of Dan where we will stop to tour this biblical site. We will enjoy a picnic lunch at the Tal pools and then head back up the to Merom Golan.

Day 6- To the Sea of Galilee
Leaving the Golan we will enjoy a long gradual decent to the Sea of Galilee. We will stop to look over the Syrian border and continue past the farms and villages. We will stop to see Gamla national park and the views from the Golan to the Sea of Galilee. Our ride will end on the shore of the lake.

Day 7-Sea of Galilee Loop
We will ride on the shores of the Sea of Galilee stopping at several sites from the time of Jesus. After passing Tiberius we will stop to see an ancient boat from the time of Jesus, the village of Capernaum and Mt Beatitudes.

Thursday- We will follow the Jordan River south towards the town of Beit Shean. Here we will tour Time permitting we will also visit the nearby spring and pools before heading south by car to Jerusalem. the city frozen in time since the year 749. Bike Sea of Galilee to Beit Shean- transfer to Jerusalem. Once we check in and rest at out hotel, we will head out to dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 8 Jerusalem
- For those interested, we will leave on a pre breakfast ride though the streets of Jerusalem. After breakfast we will leave for a full day walking tour of the old city of Jerusalem, We will tour all quarters and also visit the Church of the holy Sepulcher and the Western Wall. We will return to the hotel with time to enjoy the afternoon as the city quiets down for Shabbat.

Day 9- Judean Hills-
The hills surrounding Jerusalem hold some of the best cycling routes in Israel, and we will probably see dozens of other cyclists as we head on our way. We will ride through the Adolam Park, where we will get a glimpse of the famous caves where Bar Kochva and his supporters hid from the Romans in the year 135 AD. From here we will ride to the Elah Valley, the Biblical site of David and Goliath’s battle, and continue for a taste of wine from Israel’s leading wine region. This afternoon we continue our ride to the ruins of Beit Guvrin, to explore the underground labrynth of caves here.
