5 Small Tips That Will Make a BIG Difference For Your Bike Rental in Israel
1. Riding on the roads shoulders:
The roads in Israel have wide shoulders, which make them cyclists friendly.
At times drivers might honk at you. Don’t be alarmed, this is the way Israeli drivers warn you when they get near you.
2. Preparations:
If you arrive in the summer, make sure you have sunscreen, sleeves, cycling clothing that suits the hot climate, and a few bottles of water. When riding in the desert - It is important to know that there may be long distances with no services, so make sure to have enough water and food.
3. When to ride:
The recommended season for riding in Israel is winter. We always recommend starting your ride before breakfast and finishing it after lunch. The hot hours are 13:00 to 16:00. In summer you can ride in the afternoons when the days are longer and there is light until 20:30.
4. Friendly passersby:
The Israelis are mostly willing and happy to help strangers. Be comfortable approaching a passerby or a driver if you are in need of help, guidance, or any other need.
5. Mobile and reception:
We recommend having your sim card or buying one in Israel. There is a good reception almost everywhere.
